Gentle, fully automatic box filling

The GRIMME box filler, GBF, is a fully automatic box filling device, providing a gentle and uniform filling of boxes. The adjustable intake height and the box positioning frame are suitable for filling a wide range of different sized boxes. The automatically, hydraulically adjustable gooseneck reduces the discharge height into the box for a gentle crop handling during the whole process of box filling. The machine is operated via the GBT operating terminal and is also equipped with Flow Control for switching the upstream conveyors on and off.

Benefits

Gentle box filling

A sensor monitors at any time the discharge height and automatically controls the height of the filling web. If the box is empty, the head piece is completely lowered and then the product is gently transferred with the aid of the guide rubber flap (DROP-STOP) in interaction with the plastic cover.

Exact filling

The GRIMME box filler, GBF, can be equipped with a scale for an exact determination of the weight. All boxes are filled with the same weight by means of the box scale. The filling automatically stops or changes to fill the next box when the pre-set weight has been reached. Furthermore, the box scale records the number of boxes and the total box filling weight per day.

Fast and easy operation.

The GRIMME box filler, GBF, is operated via operator terminal, type GBT. Furthermore, the machine is equipped with the feature Flow Control, to start and to stop the complete upstream conveyor line.

Minimal rolling of the crop

The special shape of the conveyor flights and additional, adjustable devices for braking the crop flow minimise rolling movements and thus improve a gentle filling process.

Evenly filled boxes

When the maximum filling height is reached, the box is optimally filled by retracting the filling elevator. Then the conveyor automatically changes its conveying direction and starts the filling of the next box.

The storage line evolves into an assembled unit

Flow Control connects all machines that belong to one storing line to each other. The entire line can be stopped by each machine without delay or automatically stops itself in case of trouble. The entire storage line can be started at the push of a button in a programmed start-up sequence from any terminal. In order to avoid blockages, the machines start from the final discharge point of the storage line back to the receiving hopper with a programmable time offset. The minimal manual control effort allows the entire line to be operated by a single person, thus reducing the need for additional manpower. In conjunction with the automatic speed control of the hopper floor, called Capacity Control, a uniform crop flow in the entire storing line can be ensured under all conditions.

With a forklift, the boxes can be easily placed in the frame for the box position.
