Research and
Development
We can only guarantee excellent products if we also develop them ourselves and conduct research for the future. Our engineers and technicians work on solutions every day, in collaboration with customers, suppliers and development departments within and outside the GRIMME Group.
Each product is intensively put through its paces on the factory's own test benches and in practice by the validation team.
Assembly
We have over 8,000 different web variants, some with a quantity of one. That is why we need highly qualified specialists in assembly who know what they are doing, even under rapidly changing conditions. In practice, even the slightest inaccuracy can lead to faster wear or failure and thus unplanned stops in the process chain. Regular audits ensure consistently high quality in all phases of manufacturing and assembly processes.
Manufacturing
We have a high level of vertical integration and contribute our expertise in all key finishing processes. This includes production machines that we develop ourselves with specialised mechanical engineers.
These are unique and unrivalled in terms of performance and precision. Our highly qualified machine operators receive ongoing training and are closely involved in the further development of production machines.
From the foundation
until today
Franz Grimme Senior founded the GRIMME agricultural machinery factory for potato harvesting technology in Damme 90 years ago. The webs and conveyor belts required for this were developed and produced in-house right from the start. This know how - unique in the industry - was transferred to RICON, Sieb- und Fördertechnik GmbH in 1995 due to steadily increasing demand.
Due to the strong growth, the company relocated from Damme to a 10,000 square metre plant in Niedersachsenpark in 2011. In 2018, the product range was expanded to include scrapers for the food industry with the acquisition of the experienced manufacturer Team planBe. The approx. 8,000 sqm logistics centre was built in 2019.

The RICON team
More than 170 dedicated employees develop and produce our high-quality products. All specialists and masters of their field with a high level of know-how.
Extensive training and continuing education measures are actively promoted. We always want to be up to date and open to new things. This is part of our DNA, as are flat hierarchies and collegial cooperation. The company is managed by managing directors Philipp Grimme and Felix Lingens.
